Pierre Mortier was the greatest cartographer of the eighteenth century; he was born in Leiden in 1661 and died in Amsterdam in 1711.
He is known for the illustration of panoramic maps.
Prints from the Opera “Nouveau Theatre d’Italie” printed in second edition in 1724.
The works come from the Steffen Völkel antiquarian bookshop in Seubersdorf, Germany.
