Michael Dahl
Stockholm 1659 – London 1643
Portrait of a Lady
Oil on canvas 124 x 101 cm
Dahl was a Swedish portrait painter who lived and worked in England for most of his career. He painted portraits of many aristocrats and some members of the royal family.
You can see similarities with the portrait of Anne, Queen of Great Britain, painted by Dahl in 1705.
Dahl also worked in Venice and Rome.
